In 1983, when President Reagan declared November National Alzheimer’s Disease Awareness Month, less than 2 million Americans were living with Alzheimer’s. Today, the number of Americans living with Alzheimer’s exceeds 5 million. But the community impacted by Alzheimer’s extends beyond the patient, it transforms the life of the families, friends, and caregivers of the person living with the disease.
