Things have been fairly quiet here in DC during the month of August, but prospects are already looking up, especially with our e-Advocacy Summit fast approaching on September 15. LillyPad and the folks from Global Healthy Living Foundation are working hard to put on a summit that aims to foster digital public policy engagement between health advocacy organizations and policy makers.
The Summit will be an educational and networking opportunity for the wide range of 100+ advocacy groups in attendance, all of whom have interest in health policy. Speakers and panelists who are well-versed in the digital policy and advocacy space will provide perspectives on the how to effectively use social media for advocacy campaigns and provide insight on how to connect with policy makers.
Some of the highlights will include keynotes by our CEO Dr. John Lechleiter and Dan Abrams, a legal analyst for ABC news, appearing primarily on Good Morning America, who will offer his insights from over 20 years of experience covering presidential politics. Two panels will examine the optimal use of digital media to make an impression in politics and offer advocacy groups a set of tools on how to make an impression in politics and how to effectively use social media in advocacy.
Of course these are just a few of the many points on the day’s dynamic agenda. Be sure to take a look at our LinkPad tomorrow for a run-down on the featured speakers and participating organizations. If you’re interested in joining the event, you can participate online or in person—registration details are available on the website.
