Exactly ten years ago, on December 8th, 2003, President George W. Bush signed The Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act into law. This landmark legislation led to the creation of Medicare Part D, a program that helps patients subsidize the cost of prescription drugs. Over the past 10 years, Medicare Part D has profoundly impacted prescription drug care for our nation’s seniors, and it remains a highly effective and well-liked program.
