You're Invited: 2012 e-Advocacy Summit

On Friday, Eli Lilly and Company and the Global Healthy Living Foundation are proud to sponsor the second annual eAdvocacy Summit at the Newseum in Washington DC. During this free day-long event, distinguished speakers and panelists will engage participants about the influence of social media on public policy advocacy. Last year’s event was a huge success, and we are looking forward to building on the conversations we began.

This year’s agendafeatures speakers and panelists include nationally recognized elected officials and business leaders. Some of the highlights include:

  • Erik Qualman of Socialnomics on why social media isn’t going away
  • Panels on digital political and advocacy campaigns
  • Breakout sessions on best practices of social media techniques
  • Workshops on drafting digital campaigns for specific policy issues

The program allows plenty of time for networking, and provides an excellent opportunity for attendees, speakers and others in the DC community to reflect on the day’s messages, and to combine their new knowledge of social media in this informal conventional social context. We anticipate attendance from over 125 organizations and space is limited, so make sure and register today. If you can’t make it to the event, we still welcome you to participate by watching through the live video stream, following the #eAdv hashtag on Twitter, and looking out for live tweets from @LillyPad, @Modernmeds, @GHLForg, and @eAdvocacy.
